China: Slight buying interest seen for iron ore fines

July 19, Slight buying interest seen for iron ore fines this moring, said one of the exporters. But it is still a matter of concern because queries have coming from traders rather than from Steel mills in China.

 

This morning the market showed some signs of life after 63.5/63 cargo of India Fine was heard bought $2 higher at $125 as compared to the $123 trade previous day.

61/60 Fe Fine was offered at $96.5 FOB India; 60/59 Fe Fine was offered at $92 FOB India. Shanghai equities opened low at 2392 this Monday morning, but quickly recovered to 2438 by the time of writing.

 

Recently there is a price drop from some of the major steel mills in China on flat products for august delivery.
