Medium scale Rebar market has absorbed better trade volume and price range surge in most of the locations by INR 200-800/MT (USD 3-12) on weekly basis, as per assessment.
However, in specified locations of Northern region reported bearish demand and dull trade volumes, which led to slight rise in stock & increase in trade discounts to prevent stock burden and price range fluctuated by INR 300-600/MT.
Further, industrialist’s from central & west region doesn’t except any major corrections and expect price range to hover in the existing range as average stock has been maintained in most of the mills.
South region based medium re-rollers indicated that price reduction may get placed by large producers for January’18 dispatches.
Central region, Raipur based heavy structure manufacturers are trying to maintain the same discount range of around INR 500-600/MT as per order and current trade reference price of (200 Angle) registered at INR 41,300-41,600/MT, Ex-Raipur.

— Central region, Raipur based – SPEED TMT increase by INR 300/MT to INR 35,500/MT.
— Central region (Raigarh) based Anjani Steels Limited branding Radhe TMT currently offer basic rebar at INR 35,600/MT
— Gujarat based Shreeyam Power & Steel Industries Ltd branding as National TMT unchanged on day basis and offering at INR 38,600/MT FoR.
— Gujarat based Akshar Ispat Ltd (Akshar TMT) current offering at INR 38,500/MT FoR.
— Jalna based Kalika Steels unchanged their offering at INR 36,900/MT.
— Shakti Ferro Alloys in Chennai, (SSI TMT) unchanged their offering at INR 37,500/MT & Billet at INR 33,500 MT.
— South region based Prakash Ferrous Industries Pvt. Ltd (Tirumala) unchanged their prices and offered at INR 39,500/MT.
— The price range through the large mills hovering at INR 40,500-41,000/MT ex-Mumbai.
