US coil remains weak; Europe shows mixed movements

European HRC – Southern European prices up by €8

 

Southern European prices increased by 2% last week to reach €529 ($685). Prices have declined €42 or 7% in the last three months, but is still €133 or 34% higher than the level seen at the beginning of the year. Northern European transaction prices declined by €6 or 1% and reached €553 ($716).

 

 

USA HRC – prices down by $12

 

Transaction prices slipped by 2% and reached $642 last week. Prices are modestly down by $3 form last month’s level, but still down $86 or 12% from the level three months ago.
