According to the recent data released by World Steel Association (WSA) total crude steel production of 66 steel manufacturing countries has witnessed growth of 3% to 156.83 MnT in Oct’18 which was 151.38 MnT in Sep’18.
However on yearly basis world steel output increase by 6% against 148.02 MnT in Oct’18.
During first ten months (Jan-Oct) of CY18 world crude steel output stood at 1,502 MnT which was 1,434 MnT in same time frame of previous year.
SteelMint has analyzed world’s crude steel production numbers of major steel producing countries –
China’s crude steel output inch up by 2% M-o-M in Oct’18 – China crude steel output inch up by 2% to 82.55 MnT in Oct’18 which was 80.84 MnT in previous month.However on Y-o-Y basis the same rose by 9% against 75.67 MnT in Oct’17.
India’s crude steel output rose by 3%M-o-M in Oct’18- Indian crude steel output moved up by 3% to 8.77 MnT in Oct’18 which was 8.52 MnT in Sep’18.However on yearly basis the same largely stable at 8.7 MnT in Oct’17 as well.
Japan’s crude steel output rose slightly by 2% M-o-M in Oct’18 – Japan crude steel output move up marginally by 2% to 8.56 MnT in Oct’18 which was 8.42 MnT in Sep’18 Meanwhile on Y-o-Y basis nation’s crude steel output drop by 4.5% to 8.97 MnT in Oct’17.
United States crude steel output increases by 4% M-o-M in Oct’18-USA crude steel output stood at 7.57 MnT in Oct’18,higher by 4% against 7.25 MnT in Sep’18.However on yearly premise nation’s crude steel output stood at 6.85 MnT in Oct’17.
Crude steel production of other top steel producing countries in Oct’18 is as follows Russia: 6.02 MnT, South Korea: 6.18 MnT, Brazil: 3.13 MnT ,Turkey 3.16 MnT and Germany at 3.60 MnT.
