China produced 1.678 million tonnes of crude steel in the last 10 days of September, 8.5 percent higher than the middle 10 days of the month, data from the China Iron & Steel Association showed on Thursday.
Its member producers, usually 77 medium- and large-sized steel mills, produced a total of 1.417 million tonnes during the same period, up 8.6 percent from the middle 10 days of September.
