Odisha: Iron Ore Production Fell Marginally in Sep’18

Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state has recorded Sep’18 production at 6.43 MnT, down 3% as compared to Aug’18 production at 6.64 MnT, according to the provisional data of Odisha Govt. maintained by SteelMint. The figures include the type of material – fine, block, and concentrate.

On yearly basis, Sep’18 production fell 14% as against Sep’17 production at 7.49 MnT.

Rungta Mines – India’s largest private merchant miner produced 0.98 MnT iron ore from its mines in Odisha in Sep’18, up 8% M-o-M as against 0.91 MnT in Aug’18.

Tata iron ore production stood at 0.89 MnT (down 14% M-o-M) and SAIL at 0.73 MnT (up 4% on monthly basis).

Iron ore production of state-owned miner- OMC marked a sharp decline of 22% to 0.14 MnT for the month as against 0.18 MnT in Aug’18.

RP Sao witnessed increase in Sep’18 production at 0.66 MnT, up 40% as against 0.47 MnT in Aug’18. The miner has depicted continuous rise in production since May’18 at 0.13 MnT.

Serajuddin has depicted 25% increase in production for the month of Sep’18 at 0.55 MnT.

KJS Ahluwalia depicted nil production for the month of Sep’18 as against 0.55 MnT in Aug’18.
