Near about 50 plants in Raipur have submitted an application to CSEB (Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board) for shutting down their plants
This would account to a reduction of electricity consumption by nearly 150 Megawatts
The plant owners seek for a reduction in electricity tariffs and the heavy demand charge (nearly Rs 12 lakhs per month) that is being charged even if plants are closed
CSEB in return suggested the plant owners to discuss the matter with its chairman and the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh
