Indian Rebar Market Observes Average Demand

Indian medium scale rebar manufacturers noticed average demand in major regions amid mixed price movements.

As per re-rollers, rebar inventories have remained stable on average basis in major markets. Although in few locations it observed an increase of about 15-20% in comparison to their usual stock.

Further as per participants, rebar prices are likely to remain volatile or report slight corrections due to upcoming festive season, this may lead to slow movement for intra-state.

Trade Updates

— North India based Rathi Steels increased their prices and current offering at INR 42,200/MT (12 mm), ex-works & excluding GST.

— Central region, Raipur based brand – SPEED TMT has slightly increased their price by INR 100/MT on day basis and current offering at INR 35,800/MT (28 mm) ex-work & excluding GST.

— Akshar Ispat Ltd unchanged their prices on day basis and current offering rebar at INR 45,000/MT (20 mm) FOR & including GST at 18%.

— Gujarat based Shreeyam Power & Steel Industries Ltd branding as National TMT unchanged their prices on day basis and current offering rebar at INR 45,200/MT FoR & including GST at 18%, Size – 20 mm.

— Jalna based rebar manufacturer – SRJ Peety Steels Pvt Ltd branding Shree Om TMT unchanged prices on day basis and offering basic rebar at INR 35,600/MT, ex-work & excluding GST.

— Jalna based Kalika Steels has unchanged their prices on day basis & offering 28 MM Rebars at INR 35,700/MT ex-plant & excluding GST.

— South region – Chennai based ARS Trusteel has unchanged their prices on D-o-D basis & offered 12 MM Rebar at INR 42,400/MT, ex-plant and excluding GST.

— Chennai based manufacturer Kamachi Industries Ltd branding as KAMACHI TMT offering 12 mm rebar at INR 41,500/MT, ex-plant & excluding GST.

— East India based Wire rod manufacturer – Adhunik Alloys & Pvt Ltd has unchanged their prices on day basis & presently offering Wire Rod 5.5 mm at INR 41,000/MT & TMT at INR 39,000/MT, ex-mill & excluding GST.

— East region based – Baba Smelter Pvt. Ltd has increased Structure offers by INR 250/MT on day basis & current (125,150 Channel) offering at INR 40,750/MT, ex-work, excluding GST.
