Orissa miners have stopped taking fresh orders for iron ore fines/blue dust that is exported to China owing to higher export prices.

Some mines have revised the iron ore fines/ blue dust prices by Rs 100/ MT.

Spot iron ore prices in china remain at 7 months high. Fe 63.5 of Indian cargo is being quoted at $174-176/MT.

Iron ore fines prices are expected to go up further by Rs 100-200/MT as demand from Chinese buyers seems to be good and also spot iron ore prices are expected to remain high.

KJS Ahluwalia , a miner based in Orissa has already increased its Fines prices by Rs 100/Mt. Demand remains good from exporters as exports from Karnataka remained banned.
