POSCO project which is the biggest foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country gets approved by environment ministry on Monday. The project was stopped by environment ministry after concerns were raised by environmentalists and local inhabitants
Welcoming the conditional clearance to its $12 billion steel project in Orissa the Indian subsidiary of South Korean steel major POSCO said on Monday that it will resolve the concern raised by the people. The environment ministry on Monday gave its approval to the project provided the company fulfilled the requirements towards maintaining ecological balance of the region.
