Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL)- Indian state owned steel maker had scheduled pig iron auction today (5th Sept) for sale about 3,200 MT Steel grade Pig iron from its Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
The tender got settled with increase bid prices of INR 900-1,000/MT*. As per participants, RSP has received good response as the offered quantity was fully sold out on high bid prices. The base price for the tender was quoted by RSP at INR 29,800/MT* and the auction got settled at INR 30,700-30,900/MT, ex-plant.
Prior to this, RSP’s last tender was held on 18th Aug for about 4,000 MT pig iron and the tender was concluded at around INR 28,800-28,900/MT, ex-plant, Jharsuguda.
