India’s Vedanta group is scouting long-term off take agreements and possible acquire of coal mines overseas, the official said.*
Vedanta is planning to import one million MT of coal to blend with Indian coal to feed its 2,400-MW power plant in Orissa, India. The Independent power plant (IPP) will supply power to Vedanta’s aluminium plant.
