South Korea -world’s 5th largest steel producer has reported rise in its Finish long steel exports and as per data maintained with SteelMint.
As per customs data, the nation has exported about 0.23 MnT Finish long steel in Jul’18, surge about 15% (30,000 MT) M-o-M against Jun’18.
Coming to total exports in CY 2018 (Jan-Jul), the nation has exported about 1.52 MnT; up by around 7% as compared to 1.42 MnT in the same preceding last year.
On yearly basis Jul’18 exports of the nation incline by 4.54% against 0.22 MnT in Jul’17.
South Korea long steel exports to Japan increase – Out of total Finish Long exports in Jul’18, major exports to Japan registered at 0.03 MnT against 0.02 MnT in previous month. Other major importers were – Vietnam, Canada, Malaysia & Taiwan with volumes of 0.02 MnT each respectively.

Sub-Commodity Wise Under Finish Long commodities following HS Codes has been considered – Bar & Rod (HS Code 7213 & 7214), Angle & Shapes (HS Code 7215 & 7216) & MS Wire (HS Code 7217).
During Jul’18, Structure have contributed the major exports proportionate and registered at 0.12 MnT up by 33.34% followed by Rebar 0.09 MnT up by 12.5% and remaining MS Wire registered at 0.02 MnT which is stable m-o-m basis.
