Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded dispatches at 5.83MnT in Jul’18. The dispatch decline on monthly basis as against 5.98MnT in Jun’18. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of captive miner- SAIL & Tata Steel. Due to seasonal effect (monsoon) and rake availability issues prevailing in eastern India has affected the iron ore dispatches from Odisha.
However, on yearly basis, iron ore dispatches from Odisha increased by 4% in Jul’18 as compared to Jul’17 dispatches at 5.59MnT.
During (Apr-Jul’18) Odisha iron ore dispatches have increased by 3% to 39.59MnT against 38.32MnT in the same period a year ago (Apr-Jul’17).
Rungta Mines iron ore dispatches Decreased by 6% in Jul’18
Amongst Odisha’s merchant iron ore mines – Rungta Mines, India’s largest private merchant miner, dispatched the highest quantity of iron ore, dispatches declined by 6% to 1.87MnT in Jul’18 as against 1.99 MnT in Jun’18.
KJS Ahluwalia recorded dispatches in Jul’18 at 0.56MnT (Up 25% M-o-M), followed by Kaypee Enterprises at 0.51MnT (up 20% M-o-M) and Serajuddin at 0.47MnT (up 12% on monthly basis).
Dispatches from Essel Mining, AMTC, and SN Mohanty have depicted an increase in June’18 iron ore dispatches. RP Sao depicted significant increase of 29% to 0.25MnT
OMC, state-owned miner recorded a decline in dispatches at 0.67MnT in Jul’18, depicting a fall of 17% as against 0.81MnT in Jun’18.
