Domestic Pig iron prices remain stable over sluggish steel demand and lower trading activities..* Buyers prefer to wait and watch before they can place fresh orders till march end as financial year ends. Buyers are waiting for markets to take a direction.
“There is good quantity of pig iron lying at stock yard, said an official of manufacturing unit based in Jajpur (Orissa). Demand has been weak for past few weeks.”Pig iron prices hovering around 24000-25800/MT (Basic, ex works price), he added.
However, in markets like China, Pig Iron prices showed amid upward trend, surrounded by uncertainties of falling iron ore and coking coal prices in International market,which may restrain the rise in prices
