India: Semi finish Prices to increase Amid Production Cut

Semi Finish prices has increased almost by Rs 700-800 W-o-W over production cut. Market participant believes that price might again move up by Rs 300-500/MT as demand and supply is hampered. 

Maharashtra mill prices already inched up by Rs 400-500 in last couple of days as major plant shifted to night production and production is 35-40% over installed capacity.

Similarly, Chhattisgarh Mini Plant Association has also announced for Furnace shut down w.e.f. 3rd August. Today Billet/Ingot offers have increased by Rs 200-300/MT which is up by Rs 700-800 W-o-W.

Contrarily, in South Indian market such as Chennai and Bangalore prices are down by Rs 200-300/MT, due to seasonal slow down.
