KJS Ahluwalia, an Orissa based iron ore miner has slashed its prices by Rs 300-400/MT on weaker demand and improved production.* Market players expect other miners to follow suit and cut their ore prices as well.
Currently, a 5-18 mm of iron ore lump with Fe 63% is being offered at Rs 5400/MT, whereas 10-30 mm is being quoted at Rs 4200/MT on an ex-mines basis. Blue dust prices have also reduced by Rs 250/MT and are being offered at Rs 2500/MT.
