Medium mills drop export offers to Nepal:

As per participants, medium mills based in Durgapur (East India) continue to reduce Wire rod export prices owing to weak demand & falling billet prices.

The latest export offer to Nepal for commercial grade Wire rod 5.5 mm are hovering at USD 510/MT ex-mill, Durgapur. In the last week same were reported at USD 520/MT; drop by USD 10/MT, W-o-W. On CFR basis the current prices would be around USD 535/MT CFR Raxaul border (Nepal).

If market participants are to be believed, currently the mills in East India are under selling pressure due to seasonal poor off take in domestic as well as poor demand in global market.
