According to the South Korean customs, the country has witnessed an increase of 13% M-o-M in its Ferro Alloy imports.
In Jun’18, South Korea imported a total of 88,753 MT Ferro Alloys against 78,458 MT in May’18. Moreover, on yearly basis, there has again been a marginal increase of 5% Y-o-Y as South Korea imported 84,375 MT in Jun’17.
In Jun’18, Korea imported 53,243 MT of Ferro Chrome, 23,561 MT Ferro Silicon, and 11,949 MT Silico Manganese. South Korea recorded an increase of 4% M-o-M in its Ferro Chrome imports, 22% M-o-M in Ferro Silicon imports and 44% in Silico Manganese imports respectively.
India surpassed South Africa to be the largest exporter Ferro Alloys in South Korea, recording export sales volume at 26,788 MT in Jun’18, witnessing a decrease of 11% M-o-M. South Africa, on the other hand, recorded a substantial increase in its exports by 58% M-o-M in Jun’18, followed by China and Malaysia, which also registered an increase in their exports, among others.
