According to latest release by Russian customs data,flat steel exports which includes (7208- HR coils/Plates,7209 – CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets) witness the decline of 17% on M-o-M basis in May’18 to 0.72 MnT which was 0.87 MnT in Apr’18.
On yearly basis nation’s flat steel exports reduced by 12% in May’18 against 0.82 MnT a year ago.
During first five months of CY18 ( Jan- May) country has exported 3.69 MnT of flat steel fell by 10% against 4.08 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.
Russian HRC export offers decline by 4% M-o-M basis in May’18- Weak demand amid fall in domestic prices have resultant to decline in export volumes from Russia.Major mills in Russia have also decline their prices in domestic market.On an average basis nation’s HRC export offers stood at USD 572/MT FoB Black Sea in May’18 ,fell by 4% against USD 602/MT on FoB basis.

Country-Wise Russia Flat Steel Exports in May’18-Turkey was major flat steel importer of Russia and has imported 0.27 MnT of flat steel in May’18,moved up by 4% against 0.26 MnT in Apr’18.
Second largest importer was Belarus with 0.06 MnT in May’18 ,up by 20% against 0.05 Mnt in Apr’18.Meanwhile Poland also imported 0.06 MnT in May’18 fell by 33% against 0.09 MnT a month ago.
Meanwhile Kazakhstan imported 0.04 MnT followed by USA at 0.04 MnT and Latvia at 0.06 MnT in May’18.
