Freight rates in Southern India fall on lesser cargo movements

Freight rates in Southern India for 10 metric tonne load have declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market on Saturday following lesser cargo movements.*

 

Transporters said heavy positioning of trucks along with fall in cargo movements mainly pulled down southern destinations freight rates.

 

Delhi to Mysore, Hyderabad, and Vijaywada rates has slipped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 48,000, Rs 33,000 and Rs 31,000, respectively.

 

Similarly, Kochi and Pune freights fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 53,000 and Rs 21,000, respectively.
