Tuesday, April 26,

Indian exporters quote Fe 63.5/63 at around $188-189/MT, touching the levels reached in the beginning of April.* However, activities in the market remain low with limited buyers & sellers.

Iron ore export from Goa is likely to come to a stand-still by mid of May ahead of monsoons. Situation in Karnataka is also not so clear, as the final hearing on the ban is still pending. Supply from Orissa is also expected to remain low as the State Government has tightened checking norms for vehicles transporting ore.

So, according to exporters, “constrained supply might keep the prices firm and they may not fall below the support level of $182-183/MT”
