As per market sources,Hoa Phat group joint stock company has sold nearly 1.1 MnT of steel in first half of CY18 (Jan-June).High demand from civil construction sector remained major driving factors of company’s sales growth.
Meanwhile high quality of steel wire rope with steel grades such as SAE1008, SAE1015, SWRM17 have been booked in high volumes from domestic and overseas buyers.
Company has exported 58,000 MT to Australia, Japan, Malaysia and the Philippines which comprises half of Hoa Phat exports made to overseas nations.In Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines are the ones ordering Hoa Phat steel most.
For the US market Hoa Phat has exported 15,000 tons in ( Jan- June) and in July will ship more than 10,000 tons.
Company has achieved good results despite replacing blast furnace No 2 with other equipment for two months for maintenance purpose.
Few Highlights of Hoa Phat Steel Plant
1.The Complex uses blast furnace technology with a capacity of up to 850,000 MTPA contributing to increase the steel capacity of the Hoa Phat Group to 1.2 MnT per year.
2.The model is considered as synchro production line, modern and largest scale of Vietnam.
3.The iron ore processing factory has capacity of 300,000 tons ore per year and the cast iron mill has capacity of 850,000 tons / year
4.Meanwhile steel billet mill has capacity of 850,000 tons /yea and the steel rolling mill capacity of 850,000 tons / year.
Company’s Expansion Plans- Hoa Phat has also speed up the construction of two phases of its Dung Quang steel complex. In the first phase a manufacturing line with the annual capacity of 0.6 MnT was slated to come into operation in May’18 and the remaining two lines are expected to start operation two months later. In the second phase a HRC manufacturing line with annual output of 2 MnT per annum is expected to be completed by 2020.
