India: MMTC Tender for Purchase of 48,000 MT Iron Ore Lump

MMTC, a leading international trading company in India and one of the major global players in minerals trade, has issued a tender for purchase of 48,000 MT (approx) iron ore Fe 63.50% (Size 10-40 MM) for supply to Neelachal Ispat Nigam (NINL) Plant at Duburi, Odisha.

The bidders have to quote F.O.R price per WMT basis by Rail. Tender Price will remain valid for 30 days for acceptance by MMTC.

1. Fe content – 63.50% min
2. Sio2 – 4% max
3. Al2O3 – 1.5% max
4. Moisture – 3.5% max
5. Sulphur – 0.05% max
6. Phos – 0.07% max

Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), the largest pig iron producer and exporter in the country, recorded the highest ever monthly production at its Kalinga Nagar plant since inception in June 2018.

The company registered 74,960 MT hot metal and 69,780 ton pig iron which is best monthly production figures of the company since its inception in 2002. The company’s earlier best hot metal production was 70,330 ton achieved in March, 2010 whereas best pig iron production was 64,513 MT achieved in December, 2009.

After successful completion of major overhauling of Blast Furnace, which established an international bench Mark in reaching the rated production in 12 days after Blow in, NINL has recorded shift, daily, weekly and monthly production records in the last two months.
