Spot iron ore prices in China remain steady. Quotes for Fe 63.5/63 Indian cargo stays at $190/MT on CNF basis.*
According to Analysts, “Demand is picking up. While the uptrend in raw material cost will be hard to reverse, steel prices are expected to rise this week.” But, there has been concerns that steelmakers in China may curb output in view of power shortages that are likely to worsen during the summer.
