International Scrap prices up by $10-15/mt on good demand from Turkey

Turkish ferrous scrap prices continued to rise this week by $10-15/mt.* over last week as

 

 Mills booking a large volume of cargoes over the last month.

 

The euro/dollar exchange rate continues to make it increasingly difficult for European merchants to sell material, which has mean most cargoes have come from the USA.

 

Turkish mills are now much more bullish on demand for long products

 

Turkish rebar exports have increased on higher ferrous scrap and billet costs, according to Turkish mill and trader sources. Improved demand has also supported prices.
