Import scrap offers to Turkey have risen in May 2011. European dealers and US have increased their HMS1&2 (80:20) and shredded scrap offers.* Figures now stand at $US460-465/MT CFR for HMS1&2 (80:20).
In the USA, the price differential for US HMS1&2 (80:20) export prices in the East Coast and West Coast regions narrowed in early trading. Figures now stand at $US430-435/MT FOB and $US450-445/MT FOB
In India, HMS1&2 (80:20) and shredded scrap offers from US and European dealers moved sideways in early May. Figures currently stand at $US465-470/MT and $US475-480/MT CFR Nhava Sheva, respectively.
