India: Vizag Steel Invites Tender for 30,000 MT Billet Export

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), state owned steel maker under the ministry of steel, has invited a tender for export of 10,000 MT Billets, 20,000 MT Blooms and 16,000 MT Rounds. As per the delivery schedule, last date of delivery period shall be 31 Jul’18. The offer given by the bidder will remain valid till 02 Jul’18.

The bidders have the option to quote for shipment either at Visakhapatnam port (VPT) or Ganagavaram port (GPL).For steel products other than WRC the FOB expense of VPT is Rs. 348.79 and for GPL is Rs. 319.44.

Indian mills are eyeing export market amid fall in domestic demand due to seasonal slowdown with arrival of monsoons.

Global Billet export market overview:

1. CIS billet (125*125mm) export price assessment moved up further by USD 5/MT W-o-W and stands at USD 515-520/MT, FoB Black Sea.

2. Billet import prices in SE Asian nations assessed at USD 545-550/MT, CFR basis, up by USD 5/MT on weekly basis.

3. Billet export price assessment from Iran remained unchanged at USD 500-510/MT, FoB Iran.

4. Domestic billet prices in China increased. Today price of Q235 billet (150*150mm) in Tangshan moved up to RMB 3,750/MT (incld 17% VAT), up by RMB 30/MT D-o-D.

5. Domestic billet prices in India have declined in recent trades. Presently price of 125*125mm billet is at INR 36,100-36,200/MT (GST extra, Ex-Mumbai).
