MMTC, a leading international trading company in India and one of the major global players in minerals trade, had issued a tender for purchase of 80,000 MT (approx) iron ore fines (0-10 mm) from the Mines owner of Joda/Barbil in Odisha for supplying to Neelachal Ispat Nigam (NINL) Plant at Duburi, Odisha.
The tender invited was for iron ore fines (Fe 62%), Sio2-3% max, Al2o3-4% max, moisture-6%max, sulphur-0.02% max, phosphorus-0.055% max. The bidders had to quote F.O.R price per WMT basis and the bid due date was 28 May’18.
According to market sources report to SteelMint, the tender received participation from three parties which included Rungta Mines and Rungta Sons also. Trade sources mentioned that the tender has been awarded to Rungta Mines.
MMTC floats fresh tender for 80,000 MT iron ore fines purchase
MMTC has invited another tender for 80,000 MT iron ore fines purchase. The material specifications remains unchanged and the bid submission due date is 26 Jun’18.
MMTC invites EoI from mine owners for empanellment to supply iron ore fines
The company has also floated an EoI from mine owners of Joda/Barbil/Koira sectors of Odisha for empanelment to supply iron ore fines (Fe 62%). The EoI invited is for supply of 80,000 MT iron ore fines per month or more to NINL plant in Daburi, Odisha. The last date for submission of EoI for empanellment is 31 Mar’19.
NINL fired up its blast furnace in beginning of May which was closed for last four months owing to capital repair work. Company plans to operate the furnace at 100% capacity, compared to 50-55% previously.
