Russian steelmakers exported 1.50 MnT of billets during April’18, registering a 5% decline compared with the last month, Russian customs data reported.
The nation’s billet export volume fall by around 0.08 MnT in Apr’18 as against Mar’18. Prior to this, on M-o-M in Mar’18 billet exports rise by 36.02% as against 0.16 MnT in Feb’18. On yearly premises, billet exports surge by 45.63% in Apr’18 against 1.03 MnT in Apr’17.
Further, in the first four months of CY18 (Jan-Apr), Billet exports surge by 11.24% to 5.44 MnT against 4.89 MnT in same preceding CY17.
Taiwan has imported approximately 20.66% (0.31 MnT) billet from Russia and maintains the top number in April 2018, followed by Turkey (0.18 MnT) & Belgium (0.18 MnT). Taiwan imported around 22.56% of the total billet exported by Russia in the CY18 (Jan-Apr).
In context to export prices, the export offers of 150*150 IS 2830 grade billet are currently at USD 505-515/MT FoB India, 125*125 3SP at USD 505-515/MT FoB Ukraine & 125*125 are at USD 520-530/MT CNF Turkey.
