Kamdhenu Limited, one of the leading brand in Indian rebar market has released its financial performance for March quarter and FY’18.
The company has reported its net profit increased by 204% to INR 5.6 crore in Q4 FY’18 as compared to INR 1.9 crore in Q4 FY’17. FY’18 net profit increased by 93% to INR 16 crore as compared to INR 8 crore in FY’17.
The company’s Net revenue from operation has increased by 55% to INR 376 crore in Q4 FY’18 as compared to INR 242 crore Q4 FY’17. Its FY’18 net profit increased by 43% to Rs 1,180 crore as compare to 825 crore in FY’17.
In FY’18, its royalty income through Franchisee’s is up by 50%.

Capacity target to double by 2022
As per the investor presentation, Kamdhenu Limited has an existing rebar capacity of about 25 lakh tonne per annum, Out of this its own production is 50,000-60,000 MT annually while the rest is produced by their franchise units across India. Its structural steel capacity is about 5 lakh tonnes per annum.
The company is targeting to double the steel capacity to about 50 lakh tonnes annually through franchise model from the current 25 lakh tonnes by 2022.
