India: NMDC Increases Iron Ore Base Prices in Karnataka E-auctions

Following price hike in Chhattisgarh, NMDC has raised prices in Karnataka e-auctions as well. NMDC Kumaraswamy has increased iron ore base prices today( 25th May 2018) in Karnataka E-auction. The company has increased around INR 50/MT in Fines and around INR 100/MT in lumps prices.

NMDC Kumaraswamy has increased Lumps(Fe 62%) base price around INR100/MT to INR 3,085/MT (basic) against last assessment INR 2,993/MT, similarly, in Fe 62% Fines prices have increased by around INR50/MT to INR 2800/MT (basic) against last assessment INR 2756/MT.

The miner accounts for nearly 45% share in state’s iron ore production. It operates two mines in Karnataka state namely Donimalai and Kumaraswamy.

Few days back, NMDC Chhattisgarh increased prices by INR 100-170/MT. Baila fines prices have moved up by INR 100/MT and prices of Baila lump and ROM by INR 150/MT. DR-CLO prices have increased by INR 170/MT.
