Imported HRC offers to Bangladesh continued to remain stable this week amid ongoing Ramadan festive season which has begun from from 16 May’18.
Major mills in China are offering HRC at around USD 590-600/MT FoB China. Thus current assessment to Bangladesh is heard around USD 645-665/MT CFR Chittagong. Offers remained unchanged against previous week
Market sources shared with SteelMint that Bangladesh steel mills have concluded few deals in small volumes at above mentioned price levels for July shipment.
Imported HRC offers from Japan – Market participants mentioned that few Japanese based major mills have given the price indication of imported HRC which will be around USD 670/MT CFR Chittagong for July shipments.
However South Korea is currently focusing on domestic market amid limited allocation and is not quoting any offers to Bangladesh for July shipments.
