Indonesia has issued a finance minister’s decree applying anti-dumping duties for steel wire rods import from China.
The government decided to slap the duties following an investigation by the country’s anti-dumping committee found that the dumping of steel wire rod imports from China caused losses to the Indonesia’s domestic industry.
The duties are additional to general import duties or to preferential import duties, according to the decree signed by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and posted on the ministry’s website.
There are more than 30 Chinese steel wire rod companies which are subject to the duties. The tariffs are valid for three years from April 3, 2018.
