This week Japanese mills have announced fresh HRC export offers to Bangladesh this week. They have cut offers by USD 10/MT against previous price assessment.
Market participants mentioned that currently imported offers of HRC to Bangladesh for (1.8-2mm) from major mills in Japan is assessed at USD 645-660/MT CFR Chittagong. Previously the offers were prevailing around USD 670/MT CFR Chittagong.
SteelMint learned from it’s Bangladesh based market sources that two import deals from Japanese mills were reported recently. As per market sources, a Bangladesh based importer has booked around 30,000 MT HRC from Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation for May shipments. The deal is heard to have concluded at USD 645/MT CFR Chittagong .
Meanwhile another deal has been concluded by Japaneses based major mill NSSMC (Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Corporation) for around 15,000 MT at around USD 660/MT CFR basis for June shipments.
Imported HRC offers from China remain stable- Imported HRC offers to Bangladesh from China remain unaltered this week.Latest offers of HRC (1.8-2 mm) from major mills in China is assessed around USD 645/MT CFR basis. Last week the offers were prevailing around similar range.
Few trade participants shared that Chinese based mills have concluded a deal with Bangladesh of around 20,000 MT of HRC which stood at USD 645/MT for June shipments.
