Bangladesh an emerging market and one of the largest buyer of steel and raw material, has imported 0.3 MnT coal in Mar’18 and shows less buying interest for scrap in March.
As per bulk vessel line up data, total 13 bulk vessels discharged at Chittagong (Bangladesh) port in Mar’18 against 09 bulk vessels in Feb’18.
In March total 7 bulk vessel of coal from Indonesia and South Africa, 1 Bulk vessel of Scrap from USA and 5 vessel of HRC from Malaysia and Japan reported.
Buyer’s expressed less interest in placing new shipment order for scrap this month as the rebar prices are declining in domestic market. Last week one cargo of 35,000 MT booked from USA at around USD 430/MT CFR Chittagong port.
One Billet Shipment from Qatar expected in Apr’18 on vessel Fortune Wing caring 50,000 MT cargos, expected to reach Chittagong port on 8 Apr’18.
