LME billet prices remain steady on low production & demand

Steel Billet prices on the London Metal Exchange remains steady on lower demand & reduced production.

The three-month official Prices on Tuesday remained steady at $590-600/MT, a level they have held for four of the past five trading days. 

“There is not much activity because of Ramadan. There is very little export activity, and it seems it will be like that for the next couple of weeks,” a trading source said.

In the physical billet market, the latest reports show prices for the semi-finished products have increased by about $5/MT on the week, to trade in the $680-690/MT range fob Black Sea.
