Imported offers of HRC to Bangladesh from China reported decline of USD 10-15/MT amid uncertainty and fluctuations prevailing in China’s steel market.
Currently imported offers of HRC to Bangladesh from major mills in China is assessed at USD 645/MT CFR Chittagong.This will be equivalent to USD 615-620/MT FoB China.
However as per previous week price assessment HRC import prices from Chinese steel mills were assessed in the range of USD 650-670/MT, CFR Chittagong.
Market participants shared that a major mill in Bangladesh has booked around 10,000 MT of HRC from Chinese based major mill Baosteel at USD 655/MT CFR basis.
Imported offers of HRC from Japan remained on higher side-Imported offers of HRC from Japanese mills continues to remain on higher side amid limited allocations for exports in global market.
Currently imported offers of HRC to Bangladesh from Japanese mills is assessed at USD 670-680MT CFR Chittagong.This will be equivalent to USD 640-650/MT FoB Japan.
