Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) has offered sales of 2.5 MnT coal in the special forward scheme of E-Auctions, earmarked specially for the power producers.
The current scheme is the third phase of the auction for power producers conducted by MCL; which provides the provision of coal lifting against successful quantity upto 6 months from Apr’18 ( Apr’18-Sep’18), by road mode.
MCL has offered sales of G12 and G13 grade of coal from its 7 collieries, whose reserve price has been fixed 10% higher than the corresponding notified price for power consumers.

Bidders have to bid source-wise, grade-wise coal quantity in aggregate as per their requirement, following which the successful bidders would have to declare the amount in which the coal quantity is to be distributed for the 6 month period(Apr’18-Sep’18), within 7 days of the auction.
In case, no such request is made by the bidder, MCL holds the right to distribute the booked quantity in equal monthly installments.
