Khouzestan steel company, one of the largest exporter of semi-finished steel in Iran had floated an export tender for export of 30,000 MT billet and 40,000 MT slab for mid/end May’18 shipment respectively. The due date for bid submission was 16 Mar’18 till 18:00 hrs.

As per market source, export tender for billet was concluded at USD 535/MT FOB Iran. Destination for billet export tender is GCC region. Quantity of billet offered by KSC for delivery increased to 60,000 MT as against initial offering of 30,000 MT in tender notice.
On parallel lines export tender for slab has been concluded at USD 565/MT FOB Iran. Slab is likely to go Far East Nation and Europe. Quantity of slab offered by KSC for delivery increased to 100,000 MT as against initial offering of 60,000 MT in tender notice.
KSC increased the allocation of slab and billet owing to higher demand in global market.
Last month, as per market and company sources, KSC export tender for export of 30,000 MT billet for mid Apr’18 shipment was concluded at around USD 510-515/MT FOB Iran. Destination for billet export tender was Gulf region.
