Serajuddin and Co, an Orissa based miner has hiked its Iron Ore prices by Rs 200/MT on improved demand from sponge iron manufacturers.
Sponge iron prices have moved up sharply by Rs 1200 last month after Supreme court has banned all mining activities in Bellary.
Other miners in the region are also expected to follow the trend and we expect there is a further scope of rise in Iron ore prices in Orissa.
Current Rates for 63% Fe CLO
5-18mm= Rs 5800 (Ex Mines)
5-18mm=Rs 6100 (Loaded to Wagons)
Though bookings for 10-30mm and Iron Ore fines remain closed said an official at Serajuddin.
