Spot iron ore prices in China remain steady as buyers have
turned cautious and have restricted their purchases.
Indian exporters on Monday held their offers for Fe 63.5/63
at $189/MT. Whereas, Offers for Australia Newman fines remained steady at
$184/MT.
The physical market last week ended on firm grounds. And a
mixed cargo of high and low grade Australian fines were seen being traded.
However there are signs that Chinese buyers have turns a
little more cautious and purchases of iron ore at ports have slowed down.
” Queries have fallen down a bit. We are holding a cargo of 63.5/63 Fe but unable to find any buyer for the same.”said an exporter based in Kolkata.
