The Anthracite Coal market in India is on the expected lines—with sluggish demand continuing to prevail; and there is also no sign of any revival of demand in the future.
The global Anthracite Coal offers have remained unmoved at the recent rates, and any movement in the offers could be expected only after the Chinese Lunar Year holidays.
Offers for the coal are assessed at around USD 145/MT CFR India, unchanged from the week-ago rates.

As a consequence of the lackluster demand in the country, imports of the coal have been insignificant. During the first half of Feb’18 only 21,000 MT was imported in India, according to the data compiled by CoalMint Research. The only importer was Rawmet, and the consignment was procured from Russia.
