export price decreasing, Indian ferromanganese export price also retreat this
week, and the overall market is on the downward trend.
An Indian producer offers the high carbon ferro manganese 75% at USD 1,225/t
FOB India presently, a decrease of USD 15/t compared with that of last week,
while the transactions remain slow.
“We receive fewer enquiries these
days, and our stocks go up, which forces us to reduce the price to attract the
buyers.” said manufacturer.
“If the demand does not improve in the next few weeks, we may reduce our output
for high carbon ferro manganese 75% and only produce according to the orders,” he added.
Another Indian producer with an output of 1,000tpm of high carbon
ferromanganese 75% disclosed that they lower the offer by USD20/t to USD 1,220-1,230/t
FOB India this week, while few firm offers were received recently. The
latest deal was made at USD 1,220/t FOB India last Thursday. The source
expected the market will rebound and the price will pick up in September, but
that did not happen.
“I cannot tell the market tendency right now, so we may keep our prices firm
and watch the market in the coming weeks.”
