NMDC Floats Tender for Purchase of 200,000 MT Coking Coal

State-owned National Mining Development Corporation (NMDC) which stands as the largest Iron Ore miner in India, as part of its downstream expansion plan has ventured into steel manufacturing by setting up a massive 3 MnTPA Steel Plant Complex at Nagarnar (CG).

NMDC has issued a tender for purchase of 200,000 MT Coking Coal on F.O.R destination basis for the Nagarnar steel plant.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The bidder should have imported and supplied a minimum of 160,000 MT of coal of origin other than India to any firm, in any continuous twelve months in one or multiple contracts during the past three years from the date of bid opening.
2. The bidder should have handled, including port operations and loading for dispatch through railways, a minimum of 160,000 MT of coal in India, in any continuous twelve months in one or multiple contracts during the past three years from the date of bid opening.

Delivery: Supply should be started within 2 months and completed within 5 months at NMDC Limited, NISP, Nagarnar, Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh from the date of the placement of order.

Validity: The offer submitted by bidders shall be valid for the period of 180 days from the due date of tender opening.

Tender schedule (IST):
The due date for bid submission is 21 Feb’18 till 14:30 hrs and the techno-commercial opening is on the same day at 15:30 hrs.
