Russia, world’s largest billet supplier from CIS nations, has exported around 1.27 MnT Billet in the month of November 2017
According to customs, the nation’s billet export has slightly fall by 2.30% M-o-M in Nov’17 against 1.3 MnT in Oct’17. Taiwan has imported approximately 27.55% (0.35 MnT) billet from Russia and maintains the top number, followed by Mexico (15%) & Algeria (13%).
Further, on yearly premises billet exports decline by 12% in Nov’17 against 1.44 MnT in Nov’16. Similarly, in the first 11 months of CY17 (Jan-Nov’17), billet exports declined marginally by 5.17% to 13 MnT against 13.71 MnT in same preceding year of 2016.
During CY 2017 (Jan-Nov), the major buyers of Russian Billets was Taiwan, followed by Turkey which remained the second largest importer of Russian billet and imported around 2.10 MnT which is 16.16% to total billet exports. Inline Mexico 1.86 MnT (14.27%), Belgium 1.46 MnT (11.24%) & Egypt at 0.82 MnT (6.27%) were the major buyers of Russian Billets .
As per the SteelMint’s assessment, the export offers of 150*150 IS 2830 grade billet are at USD 535-540/MT FoB India & 150*150, Q235 are at USD 525-530/MT FoB China.
