There has been no change in the global Anthracite Coal offers on week-on-week basis. At the same time, there was also no downward change in the offers as Coking Coal prices were higher. There is a correlation between Anthracite and Coking Coals prices as the former could be blended with the latter during the coke formation process.
The latest offer for Anthracite Coal is assessed at around USD 145/MT CFR India, unchanged from the week-ago rate.

Demand in India has remained lackluster as the buyers prefer alternate fuels. In Jan’18, no import consignment has landed upto today. During 2017, only around 1.3 MnT of the coal was imported in the country, data collected by CoalMint Research shows.
