The London Metal Exchange's steel billet contract price
gained slightly on the day as offer prices rose by $2 on Friday.
The official bid/offer spread on the bourse's three-month contract was $550/557
per tonne, up from $550/555 the day before.
The LME’s official cash price on billet fell, however, finishing Friday at
$588/588.50, compared with $590-591 the previous day.
