Rates on two of the main ferrous freight routes to China
posted gains on Monday, according to a brokerage firm.
Rates on the Brazil-to-China route moved up by $1 from October 4 to Monday’s
level of $27/MT per day. Whereas, daily rates on the Australia-to-China
route for Capesize cargoes climbed by $0.10 to reach $11/MT per day.
However, prices on the India-to-China Supramax route edged
down by $0.20 from October 4, with freight available at $13.70/MT per day on
Monday.
