India: NMDC Offers 59,000 MT Coal Char through Auction

National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is going to conduct an e-auction of 59,000 MT Char-old and Char-new from its NMDC Ltd- SIU, IDA Paloncha, Bhadradri, Kothagudem on 30 Dec’17.

The coal char in the form of “lumps” and fine particles is the byproduct produced by the kiln along with the main product Sponge Iron.

The char, char fines have the substantial calorific value which calls for their utilization for thermal generation of electricity.
